Auction: Lead a committee, contact local businesses, procure auction items, sell tickets, decorate, or recruit volunteers.  We will be begin planning & procuring items for May's Annual Auction beginning January 2017. Actual Event May 21, 2017.


Board Member:Volunteer for the Community Outreach/Special Events Committee or for the Health/Education Committee. Read more on Board Member requirements.


"Campaign for Change" Lead: Anyone can lead a "Campaign for Change" to raise funds and awareness of Mother & Child Education Center. Bringing in nearly 20% of Mother & Child's annual funding, it's fun and easy to participate: (1) Let us know you'd like to participate & how many baby bottles you need (typically 1 per person/family), (2) Pick up bottles at Mother & Child to hand out to participants, (3) Take your bottle home, to the office, etc and use it to collect your spare change for 3 weeks; then re-collect and return to Mother & Child Education Center.


Client Care: Engage in quiet conversation, conduct pregnancy tests, assist in the maternity clothes boutique, provide hospitality to clients. Six month commitment requested, 3-5 hours/week.


Client Care Days:  For Client Care Days to be warm and welcoming numerous volunteers are needed each second Saturday on the month and the Wednesday following the second Saturday. Positions at second Saturday vary from serving food, assisting with registration, stationing the kids corner, security, registering parents for classes; and both open houses needing volunteers to assist mom/dad in shopping for little one(s), choosing maternity clothing (if pregnant), filling bags with clothing and diapers, and inputting registration information into our computer system. We also have an educational piece/speaker each month, and welcome volunteers to inquire!  Commitment: 1/Mo for 1-Year preferred, One-time volunteers also welcome. Second Saturday of month, 9:00am-1:00pm. Wednesday following 12:30pm-4:00pm. Community Liaison: Inform your group (church, work place, school, organization) about Mother & Child resources & services for families; connect your group with opportunities to support Mother & Child. One year commitment requested, 2-4 hours/month.

Events: Check out our "Events" tab for an idea of events we host. E-mail us a volunteer app & let us know what events you are interested in helping to plan prior to or organize day-of.


High School Service Hours: Complete your High School Service Hours with us, or come and volunteer on your own time! Read more here.


In-Kind Contribution: Organize the sorting, bundling, storage & retrieval of in-kind donations; works closely with all Mother & Child staff. Three-month commitment requested, 4 hours/week.


Intern:Sign-on with Mother & Child for your internship!  We are dedicated to providing you opportunities for growth in your field of study.  Examples include:  Nursing, Community Health, Communications, Education in Social Work, & more. 


Instructor: Requirements include: appropriate credentials, licensure, & experience.  Must be able to arrive 1 hour prior to scheduled class time to ensure appropriate set-up.


Sponsor: Whether it be for our Annual Auction-Banquet, Client Care Days, or Special Events Mother & Child appreciates the sponsorships that help to support our families. Monetary sponsorships can help to cover the cost of an event, while donation items for a raffle, live or silent auction, pop-up dinner, etc allow donors to give and receive a gift on your behalf.  Have your company name displayed at a Client Care Day to families or publish it in our auction marketing materials.  We work with companies to create a sponsorship that best promotes them, while supporting the parents and children in our community.
